We all have a story. Although life looks different for each of us, woven into that story is often pain, suffering, trauma and loss. We get knocked down, then stand back up, and get knocked back down again. But we keep going. Life pushes us to. We fail. We learn. We grow. We transform. And in all of this if we look for it, we ultimately find our purpose.

I've always been an empath. A feeler. Sensitive to the world's suffering and compassionate to the point of tears. 

I'm an INFP (MBTI personality test, for those unfamiliar) and an animal lover. My faith is important, my family, my friends, my dogs and the communities I'm a part of. So is my multi-daily dose of dark chocolate.

The creative world has been a part of my life since I was young. I knew I wanted to be an artist or designer, but I also had an interest in the field of psychology. I loved listening to people's stories, their concerns, their struggles. I ultimately pursued a degree in Illustration. I worked as a designer/illustrator for gift and stationery product and the textile and fashion industries. I then fulfilled a dream of becoming a fine artist. Along the way I'd read and learn all things psychology related, usually in the context of my own life or relationships I observed.

Although I love the creative world, in most of my jobs I felt unfulfilled. I desired to make more of a difference in the world. My jobs seemed insignificant in light of so much suffering in life. There was always a nudge to find more purpose.
